Details
DAY 1 - Llogara
Durrës and Vlora - two of the prettiest cities on the coast. The journey begins immediately after arriving at Tirana airport at noon and Durrës is the first stop. Founded in 627 BC, the city is an important tourist destination of Albania because most tourists visiting the country relax on the beaches around it. A coffee break is planned here in one of the bars on the seaside promenade. The journey continues in the direction of Vlora, the city with a very long coastline that stretches between the Adriatic and Ionian seas. Dinner is planned in one of the most beautiful restaurants near the sea where you can enjoy fresh fish or sea fruits. After dinner, we will be driven to the National Park of Llogara where we will be accommodated in a small, but comfortable hotel.(-/-/D)
DAY 2 - Llogara
Llogara, the evergreen national park (800 - 1400 m) and the mountain peak of Qorre: 2018 m. T3, Wt 6 h, Am↑1200 Dm ↓1200. The National Park of Llogara is one of the most beautiful sites in Albania with a total area of 1020 hectares. Today's destination is the Peak of Qorre located on the Mount of Çikë, which rises at an altitude of 2018 meters and is the second highest peak of the Ceraunian Mountains. On the west, the Mount of Çikë goes sharp into the sea: a difference of 2000 meters in less than 5 kilometers. Especially on its upper part, there are very steep mountain slopes. The trail to the top is very visible, but steep and you’ll have to walk on scree. At the top you will be rewarded with a magnificent view: wild mountains and paradise beaches stretching along the coast. After a short photo break, descent begins. As we approach the park, the path becomes less difficult and goes through pine trees with very large trunks. Return to hotel is planned for afternoon.(B/L/D)
DAY 3 - Dhermi
Caesar’s Pass (Qafa e Cezarit) and the idyllic Grama Bay: T2 +, Wt 7 - 8 h, Am↑400 Dm ↓1200 will start early in the morning towards the path of Caesar, which begins near the hotel. In 48 BC, during the Roman civil war, on his way to Orik, Julius Caesar crossed the mountains through this pass, which was later named after him. We will walk through the woods toward the “Pits of Zaho"(Gropat e Zahos) and the "Pits of Piri" (Gropat e Pirit) and then onto the mountain ridge. The descending trail is sometimes steep and sometimes not, mainly of scree, up to Grama Bay, following the ridge of the mountain. The walk ends around noon at Grama Bay - an untouched beach in a special atmosphere, where you can enjoy nature or bath in the crystalline sea water. The sailors who sheltered here over thousands of years have left notes on the cliffs. Accommodation is in tents .(B/L/D)
DAY 4 - Dhermi
The stream of "White Roads" and the characteristic village of Dhërmi: 200 m. T2 +, Wt 7 h, Am↑35 Dm ↓35. The walk starts early in the morning while temperature has not yet gone up. The trail goes parallel with the sea and the scenery is very beautiful. The first stop is at St. Andrew’s Bay, located about 5 km away from Grama Bay. Totally isolated from the rest of the world, the bay has kept its natural beauty intact. After a short break to bath, we will continue walking toward Palasë, again taking the trail parallel to the sea. The delta on the beach of Palasë is a particular geographical phenomenon, because due to the presence of limestone, it looks always white. It has the shape of a large cone and is called the "Stream of white roads". In Palasa will be waiting the vehicles to transport us to the hotel in the village of Dhërmi. After lunch and a short break we will stroll the countryside, visit the old village and few churches and then have dinner. (B/L/D)
DAY 5 -Jale
Gjipe and Jalë: two of the most popular beaches on the Ionian coast. T 2, Wt 5h, Am↑100 Dm ↓300. Early in the morning, immediately after breakfast, the hike starts through a visible and not too steep trail that is partly running through olive trees to the monastery of Saint Theodora, which is built on rock. Few meters away the Pirates’ Cave, created by the power of the waves, is situated. Hiking continues towards the bay and the beach of Ngjipe, where a break is scheduled for sea bathing. The landscape is very attractive, the beach is clean and the water clear and you can enjoy them in serenity. The canyon of Ngjipe is very deep and its vertical walls are appropriate for climbing. After the break, we will continue towards Jalë, which will be reached after walking through a partially steep trail. Here is planned the lunch and free time to enjoy the sun and the clean warm sea. In the late afternoon transfer to Radhima near Vlora, where dinner and accommodation are planned. (B/L/D)
DAY 6 - Radhime
Boat trip around the picturesque peninsula of Karaburun. After breakfast, we will be transfered to the port of Orikum, where the tour of day starts. Karaburun is known for its abundant nature attractions and its various archaeological discoveries. The first stop is at the north end of the peninsula, where the cave of Haji Ali (Haxhi Ali) is found. For a long time, it served as the base in the wars against the military vessels of Venice, France and England. If the sea conditions permit, you can visit the cave. Then we continue to the Sazan island, a former cold war naval base, opened last year for the first time to the public. Another bathing break is planned at the bay of Saint Vasil which lies on the eastern side of the Karaburun peninsula. Return to the hotel in Radhima in the late afternoon. (B/L/D)
DAY 7 -Tirane
Tirana, a vibrant city, 110 m The trip to Tirana begins right after breakfast. Upon arrival to Tirana, there will be time for a short break after which we start first by car and then by cable car to the National Park of Dajti. Dajti Mountain with its height of 1613 m rises on the east of Tirana city and is part of the Kruja mountain range. Lunch is planned at a traditional "A la carte" restaurant in Dajti. In the afternoon, you will have time to visit the city with its National Historical Museum, the Mosque of Et’hem-Bey, the clock tower and the statue of Skanderbeg. Dinner will be provided at a restaurant in Tirana where you can choose among various dishes on the menu. SUPPLEMENTS
Rooming on tour & Single Room Option (Not applicable to self-guided holidays).
Most group tours are based on customers sharing twin-bedded rooms. If you book as an individual, you will be roomed with someone of the same gender. However, on many tours we offer the opportunity to pay a supplement to pre-book a single room. On some of these tours a single room will be provided at some of the night-stops but for logistical reasons not all. Individual Trip Notes clarify this. If, for whatever reason, we are unable to provide a single room as outlined in the Trip Notes, we will refund a proportion of the supplement paid to us for the Single Room Option.
Where you are able to purchase a single room, the price does not necessarily guarantee you a single room for every night of the tour.
All of our group tours are planned and operated on a twin-share basis, meaning that the standard cost is based either on individual travelers sharing accommodation with another group member of the same sex, or people who book together sharing accommodation.
Please refer to the tour notes where the single room option availability is detailed on a night by night basis for this tour, and the price for the available nights is detailed on the dates & prices tab by departure date.
For Self-Guided trips the Single Room supplement offers the option of a single room each and is charged per person. The Single Room supplement also applies to the third person in a party of three that will be accommodated in a single room.

ACCOMMODATION
During this trip we stay in different types of accommodation which are always attractive and nicely situated. We stay mostly in small hotels.
Standard - Our mid-range accommodation offers a good level of service often with other amenities such as a restaurant, bar, garden or swimming pool. Generally rooms will be comfortable with en-suite facilities.
Accommodation and service levels in Albania are generally very good. We try to use smaller, family-run hotels and pensions that might not offer the same luxuries as larger chain-style hotels, but they do provide a warm welcome, a comfortable place to stay and the chance to gain a better understanding of local life.
